Irvin Windfield Underhill, minister and missionary with the Board of Foreign Missions of the Presbyterian Church in the U.S.A (1928-1947), served in French Cameroun, West Africa (1929-1940). He and his wife, Susan R. Underhill, were the first African American missionaries to the West Africa Mission.
